The Elements, also called The 23rd Tarot Trump

The legend of the missing tarot trump is little known. In fact so little is known about it one might be inclined to think it doesn’t exist at all! Well when it comes to the tarot many things are possible, it is magical after all.

The origin of the trumps is surrounded in mystery, the creation of the modern playing cards are thought to be derived from them. The key to a whole culture of people seems to be tied up in them (see the film Latcho Drom). This is no simple thing to untangle.

In the beginning there was a key, the key provided the unlocking of the whole mystery and revealed the very nature of the greatest of occult mysteries. This forgotten key, much talked about in grimoires, is contained in the tarot. The tarot themselves is thought to be this key. Well my research and intuition has revealed that the tarot is the result of the key but the key itself was removed from the tarot a long time ago and replaced with the fool card and the minor arcana. If this was so then what did the missing card look like and what was its meaning? The fabled name of this card was called ‘The Elements’ and you can view here my attempt to paint a picture of it here.
